James Ward-Prowse (West Ham): Midfielder

James Ward-Prowse, a versatile midfielder for West Ham, epitomizes technical finesse with his exceptional set-piece expertise and pinpoint passing accuracy. His leadership qualities, coupled with a tireless work ethic, make him an influential force both on and off the ball for his team. In his first taste of European action with West Ham, Ward-Prowse has provided assist after assist for the Hammers, helping them to the top of the group and into the Round of 16.

Romelu Lukaku (Roma): Striker

This Romelu Lukaku, donning the colours of Roma, is a completely different man from the Romelu Lukaku who struggled in an Inter shirt last year. He embodies sheer strength and clinical finishing prowess, a formidable presence in the attacking third. His blend of physical dominance, goal-scoring ability, and adept ball control makes him a potent threat, constantly posing challenges to opposition defences. From an xG of 2.43, as seen on the 365Scores website, Lukaku has bagged five goals and he also has an assist, despite creating three big chances. His finishing has been spectacular and despite finishing second in their group, Roma are marching forward into the next round and aiming to go the whole way.

João Pedro (Brighton): Striker

In Brighton’s first-ever season in European football, they are making it seem like they are seasoned veterans, and a lot of it is down to this man, João Pedro. Finishing top of the group ahead of European powerhouses Marseille and Ajax, Brighton are strolling through to the next round. Pedro has scored six goals in six games for the Seagulls in Europe. His silky dribbling, sharp link-up, and impressive scoring ability have massively aided Brighton’s European fight. With Pedro firing like this, Brighton could be a real threat!
