What are the PL’s Stars doing this Winter Break?

Every Premier League season is filled with intense training and match play. However this 21/22 season has not been easy with the amount of games postponed from Covid. With no Premier League football due to take place until the 5th of February, these PL stars are taking a well deserved two week winter break.

Sun, Sun, Sun!

England hasn’t been the warmest this winter so it’s not surprising that a plethora of PL players opted for some sun during their break. Cristiano Ronaldo ventured out to Dubai with his wife and four children. He is not the only Man United player to enjoy the Gulf state as Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, and Diogo Dalot join in on some sun.

Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold also chose some sun. He tweeted an incredible photo on a bike from his holiday in the Maldives.

The Magic City

Harry Kane, Spurs star striker also took advantage of the break by flying over to the states. He was joined by his wife Kate and some of his teammates including Eric Dier, and Matt Doherty. He posted some pics from the golf course and the private plane returning from Miami. He captioned the post “An amazing week away. Rested and ready to get back at it.”. Hopefully this break brings some fight for Kane to get Tottenham into a Champions League qualifying position.

Chelsea duo Mason Mount and Jorginho also flew to Miami. They were spotted at an NBA game watching Miami Heat beat the New York Knicks at the FTX Arena.

Unlucky for some

As most of the Premier League stars choose to holiday in the sun with their family, friends, and teammates. Some of the players including Mo Salah didn’t get a break. The Liverpool star had to step up for his country in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Egypt beat Morocco 2-1 with a large part done to Salah. He had a great game scoring one goal and assisting the other. However, the progress of Egypt in AFCON guarantees Salah to miss Liverpool’s next FA Cup game against Cardiff. Hopefully for the Egyptian national team, Jurgen Kloop grants Salah an extended break.
