Week 17 Thursday Night Football DFS Helper

By Andrew Doherty

Week 17 kicks off with the Cowboys traveling to Nashville to take on the Titans. The current projected total sits at 39.5 with the Cowboys as 12.5 point favorites. With no Derrick Henry, a rookie backup at QB for the Titans and possibly no Tony Pollard in what projects to be a blowout, tonights slate is a tough one to navigate. Don’t worry though, as always I’ve got you covered with the very best value plays available. Here’s what I’m playing tonight:

Cowboys D/ST

Given the low cost and high ceiling, the Dallas D/ST is arguably the best value on the slate. The Titans offense hasn’t found much success this season outside of giving the ball to Derrick Henry and now with Malik Willis presumably starting at quarterback in place of the injured Ryan Tannehill, things are looking bleak offensively for Tennessee. With Willis under center, the Cowboys will have plenty of prime opportunities to produce sacks and turnovers.

CeeDee Lamb

Lamb has been on fire lately with back to back games of 100+ yards. The Titans defense has been the easiest fantasy matchup for wide receivers this season and they’re allowing 279.6 passing yards per game, which is second worst in the league. Lamb likely won’t see a ton of targets in the 4th quarter since this game has all the makings of a blowout, but he should be able to do enough damage early in the game against a vulnerable Tennessee secondary.

Treylon Burks

Yeah, it isn’t ideal with Willis under center but if there’s any Titan to take a flier on, it’s Burks. Without King Henry to rip off chunk plays to move the chains, Coach Vrabel will likely look to get Burks some extra schemed touches to utilize his run after catch ability. Burks also lined up in the backfield in college at times, so Tennessee may have a specific package for handing the ball of to Burks. It almost certainly won’t be pretty, but Burks is your best bet on the Titans banged up offense.
