Key Premier League Fixtures
Opening Weekend:
Matchweek 1
Friday 16 August 2024
20:00 Man Utd v Fulham
Manchester United and Fulham kick off the new campaign at Old Trafford on the 16th of August, six days after United face Manchester City in the Community Shield. All eyes will be on Erik ten Hag’s side. This is now or never for the Dutch manager after United’s ownership were convinced to stick with the ex-Ajax manager after a relatively poor season which ended positively with an FA Cup title win.
Expect to see some new faces in the United line-up. Jarrod Braithwaite could well be playing in a red shirt by then, as well as a new striker, another defender, and a central midfielder. Exciting times.
8 – @ManUtd are the first side in the competition's history to begin a Premier League campaign with a home game in eight consecutive seasons. Advantage. #PLFixturesRelease

Saturday 17 August 2024
12:30 – Ipswich Town v Liverpool
15:00 – Arsenal v Wolves
Everton v Brighton
Newcastle United v Southampton
Nottingham Forest v AFC Bournemouth
17:30 – West Ham v Aston Villa
Sunday 18 August 2024
14:00 – Brentford v Crystal Palace
16:30 – Chelsea v Man City
The first match between the ‘Big Six’ comes in the opening week as the defending champions head to London to face Chelsea. Enzo Maresca, a former assistant to Pep Guardiola, has taken over at Chelsea with the goal of finally transforming their fortunes after several underwhelming seasons. The last Pep assistant to make the step to Premier League management (Mikel Arteta) has performed very well and has made Arsenal title contenders. Expect Chelsea to bounce back and contend for the Champions League spots.
As for City, how long can this dynasty last? It doesn’t appear to be slowing down. Things will become clearer after the first few weeks of the Premier League season but don’t expect too much to change whilst Pep is still in charge.
Monday 19 August 2024
20:00 – Leicester City v Spurs
Leicester will be making their return to the Premier League with a home fixture against Spurs. What a start for them! James Maddison will be returning to the King Power Stadium for the first time since he was a Leicester player.
